CHANGING POLARITY

 

To change the polarity on an A40 you have to disconnect your AM-FM Radio and CB radio first, (if you have them) then have the polarity changed to NEGATIVE EARTH (in preparation) before you disconnect them.

1/ Disconnect the battery. Turn the battery around then reconnect the battery leads - with the Negative to Earth.

2/ Disconnect the wire on Terminal A, on the regulator then arc twice on Terminal D. Then replace wire into the original Terminal A.

3/ Swap the Low Tension wires on the coil.

4/ Swap the wires on the Ampmeter
